We all love the smell of freshly brewed coffee, but did you know you can turn it into an exfoliator for your skin.

So, turn your used coffee granules into a natural DIY exfoliator, a rub away those dry, dead skin cells.

With only three ingredients – four tablespoons coffee, four tablespoons sea salt or sugar and eight tablespoons olive oil.

It is full of antioxidants, and can help reduce the appearance of cellulite. The olive oil will keep your skin moisturised and smooth.


  1. Free WiFi, this is an absolute must.
  2. Revamp your offers board weekly and list the products you want to sell more first, and remove the £ sign by putting say 4.00 instead of £4.00 it’s easier on the eye.
  3. Think of some great names for your dishes or cakes.
  4. Loyalty cards are an absolute must. The more you hand out the more they will come back.
  5. Get some big and bright posters made to attract your customers eyes the minute they walk
  6. Giving away free coffee or tea or free cake with a main cours doesn’t seem like much of a business plan. But it can bring the punters in.
  7. Feedback Cards, have some feedback cards printed for the tables, you would be surprised at how many fill them in, maybe make it a competition for a free drink/ meal.
  8. If you have some local businesses close enough to deliver to then send them a menu of items you can deliver for their lunches.
  9. Host events or workshops or even sales especially if you sell products. Have a tasting event with some freebies or samples from one of your suppliers.
  10. Run a competition on Facebook on a regular basis so customers will start making a note of when it happens.
  11. Encourage customers to take pictures for Facebook or Trip Advisor.
  12. Take some videos to put online.
  13. Outside signs, an old bicycle with a shopping basket always works well and if you have a florist nearby you could ask her to put fresh flowers or plants in your basket for fliers in their shop.
  14. Plan your year, look at the dates for events that come up every year and get them on your calendar. Prepare another small paper with the dates of these events and put on tables.
  15. Start a quarterly newsletter.
  16. Change your Facebook header picture monthly with your counter/ fridge changed often.
