This year’s Cornwall Food and Drink Festival shows why Cornwall has one of the finest reputations for food and drink in the whole of the UK.

Sat 24th: 9am – 5.30pm
Sun 25th: 10am – 4pm

It has some of Cornwall’s best chefs cooking up a storm in the chef’s theatre, mountains of wonderful local produce to sample, producers to chat with and even a special Funky Food Zone to keep the kids entertained.

TEA IN CHINA IN 1101…

In 1101-1125, Chinese Emperor Hui Tsung became tea obsessed and wrote about the best tea-whisking methods and held tea tasting tournaments in court.

The story goes that he was so obsessed with tea that he didn’t notice the Mongol take over of his empire.

At this time tea houses in gardens started to pop up around China.
