Bramley Apple Festival – Saturday 29th October 2022.

Southwell’s best loved food and drink fair returns for its annual autumn slot at Southwell Minster. Dozens of stallholders offering all manner of food and drink including pies, chocolates, jams, chutneys, pickles, sausages and much much more and once again this year they’ll be having live cookery demonstrations.

There will be children’s activities in the Chapter House. The Chapter House has reopened, after the installation of a new cantilever lift which provides full access to this glorious part of the Minster.

For more than 900 years Southwell Minster has been opening its doors to welcome visitors, pilgrims and worshippers. “We have placed hospitality in the name of Jesus Christ as being at the heart of what we want to offer the 100,000, or so, people, who come in a typical year. As well as being a beautiful and fascinating historic building, Southwell Minster is a community of clergy, other workers and many worshippers, contributing to the public life and private lives of the town and the whole diocese.“

Some demonstrations on the day are –

10.45 – 11.25am: Cathy Wright – Using chocolate to make shards and decorations
    11.40am – 12.20pm: Kiran John – Scrambled egg curry
    12.40 – 1.20pm: Teresa Bovey – Thrifty Entertaining Ideas
    1.40 – 2.20pm: Olly Marlowe – Bramley a la Belgravia
