I’ve had a good peruse of this volume and CAN’T WAIT to get baking again. I’ve already ordered the required ingredients for the blackberry and apple crumble cake, which I know will be a beautiful treat with a scoop (or two) of vanilla ice cream. There are many tempting recipes on offer. Unlike so many recipe books I feel reassured that these cake instructions have all been thoroughly tried and tested. There are a great many hints and tips as well as short histories of some of the bakes. Brilliant to use or to gift to any keen beginner or experienced home baker. Highly recommended.
