    This makes a great value set and has helped me make some great cakes. The turntable and palette knives are great. The blue icing spreaders are a bit on the small side if you are doing tall cakes. I found the icing bags broke easily.

    I don’t bake professionally or anything, but every time I try and decorate cakes nicely, it doesn’t go well, so I decided to finally buy myself a cake turntable and decorating kit. Mainly for the turntable, spatulas and icing levelers. I couldn’t have made a better choice as a first time buy! The equipment is made of very durable, sturdy plastic which is brilliant as it’s not at all bendy or flimsy and very easy to clean. The turntable moves very fluidly, and the wooden-handled spatulas have really lovely wooden handles and are very well made. They also send you a free PDF with the basics of making a sponge cake and several different forms of icing which is really lovely. I didn’t realize this, but they also send you a cake leveler for evenly cutting off the tops of cakes which is pretty awesome, they even send you a small card with instructions on how to use it, which is incredibly handy if you’ve not used one yet (like me). Definitely would recommend anyone looking for their first or a new kit to decorate cakes.

    You get what you pay for
    I knew from the price this wasn’t going to be of high quality. I had read reviews and something that were stated included in pack where not in mind but it did not promise these in price. Positive – turntable was ok, moved well, however despite put icing on cake boards they still moved as plastic the turntable is made off would hold the icing. Knives ok, will be of use. Negative – Leveller bent and took a lot of time and effort to straighten out, wire slips all the time. Knives are ok, useful but icing bags too thin and nozzles useless, cheap. I would shop around if you are serious cake decorator. I bought for a quick project so not too disappointed as price tells the tale on quality.
