Here are some simple things you can do yourself to help fight climate change.

    1. The obvious one which is to switch to a green energy tariff. The Uswitch independently verified Green Accreditation Scheme can tell you just how eco-friendly an energy tariff is before you sign up with them.
    2. Eat fruit and vegetables that have been grown in the UK, or have a go at growing it yourself. Wherever possible buy your fruit and veg from local farmers markets.
    3. Use your car less and cycle more if you manage that. Car sharing is another option if work is quite a distance away.
    4. Make your home more energy efficient. You can find tools online to help you with this.
    5. Buy less intensely farmed meat.
    6. Buy more eco-detergents and other products
    7. Whenever you are buying anything new for the home think green before you buy it.
    8.  Recycle You know you should, so just do it.
    9. Use Energy Saving Light Bulbs. LED lightbulbs are more expensive to buy initially but last longer and will save both energy and money over time.
    10. Our tap water is perfectly safe to drink in many parts of the world. Stop buying all those water bottles!
