With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I was interested to see if venues were theming their afternoon teas around Valentines Day. Well, lot’s are and the best place to find them is on the Afternoon Tea’s site.
They start from £18.95 – £75.00 ( some are per couple and others are pp) and they have a choice of 70 on their site.
One of my favourites on the list and also one of the most expensive ones are at the Sunborn Yacht Hotel London who is promoting a Valentine Prosecco Afternoon Tea for Two and Dirty Dancing Screening.
They say “Spoil your loved one this Valentine’s to a luxurious Prosecco Afternoon Tea followed by a screening of the timeless classic, Dirty Dancing. Have the time of your life with that special someone in this romantic experience available on 18th February.
The Afternoon Tea features a selection of handcrafted delicate cakes and sweets, mini rich butter fruit scones served with fruit preserves and Devonshire clotted cream, and traditional finger sandwiches. Afternoon Tea can be booked between 12:00 and 15:00 with the screening of the film starting at 4pm.
Sunborn Yacht Hotel London offers a first-class destination to indulge in Afternoon Tea. This hotel is set in a yacht that is permanently moored in the Royal Victoria Dock.
This impressive 108-metre floating hotel possesses stunning views of Canary Wharf and the surrounding Docklands.
Afternoon Tea is served in their sophisticated Lands End restaurant.” More about Sunborn Yacht Hotel London.
Check out the long list of Valentine Afternoon Teas available on the Afternoon Tea website.
I’ve only gone and done what my other half has been telling me to do for a while, and opened an Etsy shop with my hand made cards.
I’ve been making hand made cards for years but have only sold them in a local Post Office and given them to friends and family. But because I love making them so much I have quite a lot of them and my husband has been saying for a while that I ought to open an online shop with my cards.
I knew I quite fancied the idea but felt that the competition was so great that maybe it wasn’t worth the effort. But I have finally made the leap and opened up Cards By Barmac on Etsy.
So here are a few made earlier. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated, just as long as it’s good. No, only joking the more reviews I get the harder I will try.
Obviously there are lots more but I shall keep popping some on here for you to look through. Thanks for taking the time to read this post.
With lots of Hotels and Restaurants offering romantic dinner for two for Valentine’s Night, it is nice to see that there are other ways to enjoy Valentines Day with a themed “Valentine Afternoon Tea”.
The Ampersand Hotel in London offers a ‘Science of Love’, afternoon tea, an enchanting journey of romantic exploration with the Science of Love Afternoon Tea. A menu of romantically-themed treats including warm plain and white chocolate heart-shaped scones, served with Devonshire clotted cream and homemade strawberry preserve. Those with a passion for pasty should look no further than the Science of Love’s sweet selection. Lychee, raspberry and rose marshmallow is complemented by pink guava and apple Opera cake followed by flower-shaped peach and strawberry mousse, Valentine’s shortbread and a special ‘Love Elixir’ mocktail.
Finally, they invite you to discover miniature Cupid chocolates hidden within a fossil box of white chocolate ‘soil’, a honey toffee squeeze tube and freeze dried raspberry and chocolate biscuit crunch ball.
What more could you ask…
The Science of Love Afternoon Tea will be available from 6 – 15 February 2017, for £32.50 per person, or £45.50 with a glass of Ruinart Rosé Champagne.
They are not the only place doing ‘Valentine Afternoon Teas’, I just thought this one looked rather special but if you head over to ‘Afternoon Tea UK‘, you will find an array of Valentine Afternoon Teas on offer throughout the UK, in fact 87 of them.
From Valentines Day Afternoon Tea at ‘The Occasions Tea Room‘, in Leicester from £13.50 per person to a ‘Valentine Afternoon Tea and Tea Dance’ at The Waldorf in London from £89.00 per person.
Whichever you choose I am sure you will find one to suit you.
Valentines Day will soon be with us and the promotions and gifts are in every high street store. I will kick off my top six with this beautiful heart shaped box of cupcake chocolates from Chocolate by Cocoapod Chocolate for £9.

Of course Valentines Day wouldn’t be the same without some exclusive chocolates included in the list and this Personalised Affection Art Love Chocolate Bar by CPM for £5.83 should definitely be on the list.
Or this lovely ‘Love You’ Heart filled box with the finest Belgian Milk Chocolate from Barry Callebaut containing 33.6% Cocoa solids. These sealed food-safe clear Heart boxes are filled to the brim with scrummy Belgian Milk Chocolate Buttons and are each decorated with a grosgrain ribbon and swing tag. Of course it’s also a great day for proposing and what better way that to hand your loved one this Red Rose Flower Velvet Jewellery Display Box, she/he would have no idea there was something very special inside it. Made by Houseweety for a mere £2.99.
I thought I would start looking for something a little bit different for Valentine’s Day gifts and came across ‘Sweet Treats for Her’ Hamper from Clearwater Hampers.
A perfect gift for anyone who has a palette for Afternoon Tea and all that goes with it. The hamper contains a delicious selection of biscuits, cake, chocolates and English Tea, and at £26 including delivery what more could one ask for Valentines Day.
The Nutty Tarts was born when two great friends, Rachel and Deborah, decided to do something about this great void, and create a one-stop site where you could order any combination of traybakes, biscuits and lovely presents either for yourself (if you are feeling really naughty) or for friends and family.
To brighten the one you love on Valentine’s Day you could chose from either a heart shaped Fabulous Flapjack, all sticky golden syrup and soft buttery oats , or a Jammy Heart with its crispy shortbread base, sharp raspberry jam filling, sweet almondy frangipane and a sprinkling of toasted flaked almonds or even a gorgeous, indulgent and wickedly dark chocolate heart shaped Brownie all squidgy on the inside, totally delicious and topped with a drizzle of white chocolate for just £3.99 each (excluding p+p) also available in a Gluten Free version. They seriously say “You are the one for me!”
