Unfortunately they all seemed to be in London and according to About Time Magazine the top five are………. in ‘London’. From The Landmark in London with it’s deeelicious chocolate…

I was taken for a lovely afternoon tea at the Topiary Tea Room at Hollybeck Nurseries in Southwell, Nottinghamshire. It was a beautiful day and the Tea Room was positively buzzing. People were sitting inside and outside in the lovely warm sunshine and the Tea Room had made sure no-one would be pestered by wasps while eating with the latest Waspinator gadget hanging by the door. It worked perfect as we didn’t encounter one pestering us while we enjoyed the lovely food. They have a choice of ‘Gardeners Delights ‘afternoon tea’s available on the menu with Gluten and Dairy Free…

Their unique Wimbledon range is such fun that you would expect to find them available at Wimbledon itself. Entitled ‘Anyone for Tennis’, their £30 biscuit tin theme for Wimbledon includes everything you’ll need to score an ace: racket, strawberries and cream, sunglasses, ball, even a scoreboard!

I am in the middle of writing my second book on baking with each recipe being based on a ‘loaf cake’. I love the simpleness of making loaf cakes and they last so well. One of my favourite recipes is definitely my ‘Soggy Orange Loaf Cake’ which I have previously posted on here, but for anyone who missed it I will put the recipe at the end of this post. What I would really love is to include my blog friends recipes in my book. I plan to put these from the middle of the book with ‘other recipes from…

We have just enjoyed a weekend away in Northumberland staying at The Old School House, Tilmouth, Cornhill-on-Tweed. We arrived late afternoon after a long journey to Northumberland and were greeted by Judith who showed us to the beautiful ‘Tillmouth Suite’. Complete with its own private stairs and bathroom, the Suite is tastefully furnished to a high standard with king-size bed, goose-down quilt, beautifully soft bed linen, fluffy towels and comfortable chairs. It is equipped with hospitality tray and home baking, fridge, TV/DVD/radio/CD and a mini library. We were then told to pop downstairs for a lovely home made cream tea.…
