The Village Kitchen Cafe in Edwinstowe opened it’s doors today at Church Farm.
Proprietor Lucy Bartle is no newcomer to the cafe business after running a successful one in Mansfield (Lucy’s) for a number of years.
This tiny cute shabby chic cafe is full of charm and homeliness with a menu to suit most. It’s set off a courtyard next to Edwinstowe Church where legend has it that Maid Marion and Robin Hood were married.
With over 13 loose leaf teas to choose from you are sure to find one to your liking. My husband had the home made soup and a toasted sandwich of chicken with bacon and mayonnaise.
I had a toasted crumpet and a piece of there delicious lemon cake.
The tea choice from Novus is explained with an infusion card for how long your tea should infuse for and it comes with a Speculoos Belgian Biscuit.
Although not yet on the phone you can find The Village Kitchen through your satnav at Unit 7, Church Farm, Edwinstowe, Nottingham, NG21 9NJ. Parking is easy as it has a car park behind it. Good luck to Lucy, I am sure she will do very well in her new venture.
