Last night we went with our friends who were over for the weekend to our very restaurant. Launay’s Restaurant and Bar, which is based in Edwinstowe, is opposite the church which legend has it Maid Marion married Robin Hood, in the heart of Sherwood Forest.
Launay’s serves a seasonal menu fusing traditional English and French cuisine with modern dishes from Europe and beyond, Launay’s has a meal to suit all tastes and appetites. All our dishes are prepared by Head Chef Alain Launay using fresh, locally sourced ingredients from reputable local suppliers. With a comprehensive wine menu to complement our food perfectly, and a stylish, contemporary décor, Launay’s is a true gem among Mansfield Restaurants.
The menu is varied and changed often but the piece de la resistance has to be one of there speciality sweets, the Retro sweet shop, which is a home made collection of childhood favourites – white choc mouse, candy floss, cinder toffee, brownie, cola cube, and marshmallow. As you can see from the photo it is very, very unique and so original.
If you are in the area you MUST stop for a taste of their delicious food. http://www.launaysrestaurant.co.uk/index.html
