    Twinnings Darjeeling

This first picked first flushed Darjeeling tea from Twinings was grown on Phoobsering tea estate.

It’s one of the oldest plantations in the Darjeeling Valley.

They slow grow it on uniquely high elevations and produce it with skill and care to make this delicious Darjeeling tea., http://shop.twinings.co.uk/

It has a neat, greenish, well-twisted leaf with silvery tips and a fresh, sweet, slightly citrusy aroma. It is light, clear and bright in the cup with pronounced floral notes.

This high quality tea comes from one of the oldest plantations in the Darjeeling West valley.  Named after its first supervisor, Phoob Tshering, the estate ranges from 3,000 to 6,500 ft in altitude. The leaves used to make this exquisite tea have been plucked from the special clonal tea bushes in the highest part of the estate.

This 1st flush Darjeeling Tea is the perfect accompaniment to an ‘afternoon tea’ of light bites, though nothing too strong as to overpower the tea.

Each tea order is dispatched within a special commemorative box, Twinings

Oh yes very good for you and it is also good for weight loss (if you needed to lose any) – I wish I liked it as I could do with some help on that front. Can’t wait for the chocolate tea to come in the post 🙂
