    Great British Bake Off

The Great British Bake Off returns to BBC2 from tomorrow, 20 August with Mary Berry, Paul Hollywood and a new set of baking contestants.

The first series had 10 participants, with 12 baking in series two and three and this series has 13 participants !!

However, this year’s show got off to a gruesome start, as apparently every contestant sliced their fingers on day one.

According to The Sun, Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry were shocked at the sight of blood-smeared counter tops and bakers with cuts. In their efforts to impress the two baking legends, all of the contestants somehow managed to slash their fingers open on the sharp knives.

Do you know, I’m no good at baking, but I do enjoy this show – and it’s nice to see Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc (sp?) back together even though it’s only presenting the show!

C is a lover of this programme so I always watch it on my laptop on catch up but that way I can really see what they are doing and make notes as I go along 🙂
