Sport Relief Bake Off

The Great Sport Relief Bake Off starts tonight on BBC at 8.30pm.

It’s a four part celebrity version of the series and has 16 famous faces that set out to whisk up some money for their individual charities, in the Bake Off tent.

They are under the watchful eyes tonight of Mary Bell and Paul Holywood.

The first episode sees the first quartet of celebrities, cricketer Michael Vaughan, actress Samantha Bond and Bonnie Wright and broadcaster Johnny Vaughan who go head to head in four mini Bake Offs which culminates in the show stopper – a novelty cake which represents a sporting landmark.

On Tuesday 14th January, Jo Brand is the presenter and Kirsty Young, Jane Horrocks, Greg Rutherford and Jason Gardiner make gingerbread biscuits (or at least try to ) and banoffee pies with cakes on their take of their jobs.

On Wednesday 15th January, Omid Djalili is the presenter as Michael Ball, Emma Freud, Jamelia and Victoria Pendleton make tray bakes, icing ring doughnuts (mouth watering) and cakes that pay homage to their personal sporting heroes.

Finally on the last day Thursday 16th January, has Ed Byrne as the presenter with Alistair McGowan, Rochelle Humes, Doon Mackiehan and Helen Skelton who will make pizzas, eccles cakes and tiered cakes that depict sporting equipment.

All in all four nights of great fun so if you can’t watch it them make sure you have it taped to watch on catch up. Enjoy….
