BBC GOOD FOOD SHOW DAY ONE…

BBC Food SHow

Today is the first day of the BBC Good Food Show Winter at the NEC Birmingham. I went regularly for a number of years then gave it a rest and went to other similar shows, but this particular show has always been my favourite.

Of course the ‘Super Theatre’ sponsored by Tesco is a MUST when you go to this show but you also MUST book in advance as you will not be able to get a seat. Today started off at 11.00am with James Martin and Tom Kitchen. The Super Theatre was full to the brim with lots of James Martin fans and none of them were left disappointed with his Saturday Kitchen Live presentation.

Food glorious food was everywhere with samples of cheese to chocolate. One very important thing to remember when you go to shows like this is to wear the right shoes as you will be walking around for hours on end. I took a list that I was determined to not breach but I did find a couple of things I wanted, even though I may not have needed them.

The Great British Bake Off Village was an exciting new addition for this year which was an area devoted to all things baking. This was the place to go to learn new techniques, watch demonstrations and buy everything you need to bake like the experts. They also have the Great British Bake Off Tea Garden which was new this year where you could enjoy a deeeeeelicious afternoon tea. Again, this needs to be booked well ahead but well worth booking.

All in all it was yet another show with lots to see and buy if you have the energy to get around it all.

  1. OMG Bushka, it was totally rammed. I found that bit a tad claustraphobic being so small as I always wear flats to walk around with, but good fun as well. 🙂
