THE PARTICULAR SADNESS OF LEMON CAKE…

It was the title of this book which caught my eye as I am avid lemon or orange cake lover. I mainly read thrillers but this book was so lovely I was glad I had bought it.

This book by Aimee Bender is such a lovely read about a nine year old girl Rose, who is able to detect emotion through food.

But what will happen when she bites into her mum’s homemade lemon cake, only to taste bitter disappointment?…

‘A truly unique exploration of turbulent family relationships and a young girl on the cusp of adulthood grappling with grown-up emotions’ – EasyLiving.com
