For a perfect afternoon tea (recommended by my daughter) try The Montagu Arms Hotel, a beautiful 17th Century Country House in the New Forest National Park. With it’s two AA Rosettes and one Michelin Star for its Restaurant its no surprise that the afternoon tea would be good.

You will enjoy honey glazed ham sandwiches, patisserie s and a glass of Champagne either in their beautiful gardens or in front of a roaring fire.
Just make sure you close your boot if you are camping or picnicking in the forest as the wild horses have a taste for crisps !(which my daughter found out in the middle of the night).
