Rocke Cottage Tea Rooms in Shropshire won the ‘Tea Guild’s’, ‘Top Tea Place 2011’ Award for their spectacular afternoon teas.

It’s like stepping back to a bygone age when you enter the tearoom. With background music from the 1920’s and 30’s you can feel the scene of bygone times.

They have a selection of light lunches and home-made soups as well on offer and produce is prepared freshly on the premises, including the cakes and scones.

What would be the difference between a tea room of the past and a tea room of today? ( I’m writing a story where a tea room enters the scene.)

A tea room in the past was mainly for women. It helped to liberate the lives of women, as it was considered ‘perfectly proper’ and acceptable for a woman to meet her friends in a tea shop without needing a escort and without risk to her reputation. Other than that it’s pretty much the same. Hope that helps. 🙂

I¡¯ve been surfing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all website owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be much more useful than ever before.

Fantastic weblog! I genuinely adore how itÂ’s simple on my eyes as well as the information are nicely written. I am questioning how I could be notified whenever a brand new post has been made. I’ve subscribed to your rss feed which should do the trick! Have a nice day!
