Just in case you’re planning to do a little cooking
To keep potatoes from budding, place an apple in the bag with the potatoes or do it the easy way and buy mashed potato mix, it keeps in the cupboard for up to a year.
When a cake recipe calls for flouring the baking tin, use a bit of dry cake mix instead and there
won’t be any white mess on the outside of the cake.
Wrap celery in aluminium foil when putting in the refrigerator and it will keep for weeks.
Cure for headaches take a lime, cut it in half and rub it on your forehead. The throbbing will
go away, or, take a lime, mix it with tequila, chill and drink! All your pains go away :)):))
And if you haven’t heard this one before, don’t throw out all that leftover wine. Freeze into ice cubes for future use in casseroles and sauces !! ( that’s if you have any left) :):)
Gosh…now you have told me something I did not know…..the one about the apple.
I have broccolli florets that have been in the fridge for a month!!!! Also carrots…they sit on kitchen towel in the salad bit at the bottom of the fridge.
You know…I was a chef…and the way of organising a fridge….top – dairy…..next – cooked…….bottom – raw…..so why does the salad sit under the raw stuff?

No idea P, I’m definitely not a chef of any description :)) but I guess things change over time 🙂
Not cooking anything today…to hot. Fruit and yoghurt will do for me.

Clever ideas! Raw on the bottom, in case of leaks.
Good one hutt, forgot about that 🙂
Remind me never to have mash at your place.
ha, ha :)):):)
