Dining in the Voltigeur Restaurant at York Races is a very special treat for anyone whether you enjoy going to the races or not.
You are greeted with a taste of Sushi then a starter course on your table. You can then choose from the gourmet buffet and carvery then followed on my the most amazing sweet buffet, chocolate fountain or ice-cream cones.
You can then pop outside onto the grandstand viewing area to watch your horse win (or lose) and even though you probably won’t have a tiny space in your stomach for any more, you will have to try their afternoon tea, to die for.
They say it is ‘designed to combine the luxury of a restaurant with the spectacle of racing, and delivers a unique Dine & View hospitality package for smaller parties or individuals’.
Win or lose, its an amazing day out!!!
I never gamble but the restaurant sounds great
I won for the first time this year on the table sweepstake one (we put £5 each in and pick a horse) then the winner wins, I was soooo chuffed as I’m not a very lucky person. The food is ammmmmmaaaazzzziiinnnggg and will take me weeks to get off my hips :):)
It would be a great enjoyable day – well fed, and hopefully some winners on the day. Been a long time since I went to the races. Perhaps a hotdog and cold beer at Trentham in Wellington.
Oh definitely some winners hutt, won two this time, yipeeeeeeeeeeee 🙂
