Lavender is sprouting up all over the place at this time of year and there are a number of different uses for it.

Sleep well by placing a few dried flowers (tied in a muslin bag) inside your pillowcase. The lavender’s oils will help you relax and sleep soundly.

Prevent moth holes in all your knitwear by storing dried bunches wrapped in tissue paper amongst your clothes and bed linen.

Flavour your sugar by popping a few dried flower stems in a jar of white sugar to infuse it with a delicate floral flavour, making it perfect for baking with.

Scent your home by drying a few bunches, then place the heads in a bowl for your own home-made pot pourri.

Or cook with it http://www.joys-of-lavender.com/lavender-recipes.html – recipes include lavender scones and biscuits and cake.
