Parts of Lostwithiel date from the late 13th Century, but this tea room as far from behind the times with its award-winning Cornish Cream Teas. These are accompanied with the Trewithen clotted cream and strawberry jam as well as the home-made cakes.

Michelin starred Chef Nathan Outlaw from Restaurant Nathan Outlaw in Fowey says :-

” I like  Muffins Tea Shop  in Lostwithiel. Simple inexpensive food made from strictly Cornish Produce. I like their cream tea with Boddington’s. strawberry jam, Trewithen clotted cream and tea from Tregothnan, Britain’s first tea plantation.”
