    Afternoon tea

You can enjoy a special Valentine’s Afternoon Tea at The Kensington Hotel, available from 11th to 17th February 2013. The hotel has recently reopened after a £29m renovation programme, so it’s worth going just to take a look at what’s been done.

The Kensington Hotel is based in Queens Gate which they call a leafy part of South Kensington.

Michelin starred chef John Wood and Head Chef Russell Ford have devised this special Valentine’s Afternoon Tea menu, costing just £28.00 per person or £35.00 with champagne.

    Valentine’s Afternoon Tea Menu
    SANDWICHES

Scottish smoked salmon, horseradish crème fraiche, granary bread
Roast chicken, whole grain mustard, onion bread
    Egg Mayonnaise, watercress, white bread
Honey roast ham, redcurrant butter, tomato bread
Cucumber and cream cheese, caraway seed bread

    HOME MADE SCONES

    Plain and raisin scone
Homemade strawberry & rose petal jam
    Lemon & passion fruit curd
    Clotted cream

    SWEET THINGS

    Dark chocolate Mousse, Raspberry
    Hazelnut and caramel pyramid
    Red velvet cake
Rose water and strawberry panna cotta
    Blueberry cheesecake

If you fancy this then I’d recommend that you book it soon as it’s bound to sell out, http://www.doylecollection.com/locations/london_city_hotels/the_kensington_hotel/eat__drink/afternoon_tea.aspx
