Afternoon tea

Muffins tea shop is an award-winning tea room and Delicatessen found in Lostwithiel Cornwall, about 5 miles east of the Eden Project and 4 miles north of Fowey.

In the summer you can enjoy your afternoon tea in a lovely walled garden, otherwise in the light and spacious tea shop with its pretty tablecloths and afternoon teas to match.

Parts of Lostwithiel date from the late 13th Century, but this tea room as far from behind the times with its award-winning Cornish Cream Teas. These are accompanied with the Trewithen clotted cream and strawberry jam as well as the home-made cakes.

You can also browse some of the gifts and prize-winning home made Chutneys to buy from the shop.

Some of the awards they have won include the Taste of the West 2009, Runner up Cornwall Tourism Awards and Tea Guild Award of Excellence which they have held from 2003 to date. According to their website, www.muffinsdeli.co.uk
