    Short and Sweet

Short and Sweet is a book on the best of home baking.

This is Dan Lepard’s first book but he certainly seems to know his stuff.

It’s filled with mouth-watering sweet and savoury recipes as well as a host of tips and tricks.

With gorgeous inspiring pictures to browse through, you will soon be popping the pinney on and getting the baking tins out.

A great book for Mothers Day.

Just to point out, it’s not Dan Lepard’s first book. He co-wrote Baking With Passion with Richard Whittington (1999); wrote The Handmade Loaf (2004), contributed the bread chapter to The Cook’s Book (2005) and was the English contributor to the Dictionnaire Universel du Pain (2010). Apart from being a very talented baker and writer, he’s also a great food photographer and apart from some of his own books, also did the photos for Giorgio Locatelli’s Made In Italy and last year’s Hawksmoor At Home.

Baking With Passion was reissued as two paperbacks, Exceptional Breads and Exceptional Cakes, and The Handmade Loaf is called The Art of Handmade Bread in the USA.
