Worth its weight in GOLD!
I never baked bread before, but my husband loves sourdough and I decided to try. After several failed attempts with complicated starter recipes from online, I was giving up hope. Thatâs when I found Jack – first on YouTube, now with this book. Itâs a miracle – every one of Jackâs recipes turns out, perfectly, first time, in my humble London kitchen! First of all, this cookbook is BIG, so youâre getting your moneyâs worth. I love that he includes recipes for all kinds of breads (yeasted loaves, stone baked, enriched, flavoured, wet doughs, and sourdough) and meal ideas for how to use it (both fresh and stale!). Jack has a gift for explaining things clearly and in an entertaining way. His love for baking is so clear in this cookbook. I wish I could tell him in person how much I appreciate what he does – making bread baking inclusive, even for those of us new to it. Definitely get this book if you are looking for practical, helpful, friendly, simple, and clear instructions for how to bake all kinds of breads. Thank you so much Jack!!

Really easy to follow recipes with brilliant results
Wide variety of recipes – pretty much every bake youâd ever want to make. Really easy to follow steps with timings for each stage. Iâve made at least 4 of the recipes, incl naan bread, pizzas, foccacia and seeded white rolls and knots. All came out perfectly and to a professional standard. Many recipes donât need much or any kneading and proofing is at room temp which makes things a lot easier. I donât think Iâll ever need to buy another bread recipe book again. Highly recommended!

Great fun, but not all the recipes are bread!
I bought this book to cook bread and while this book is fun and well written, and the author comes across as a very interesting chap. The recipes are through, clear and give good results, they are clearly written and accurate – however it is sold as a bread making book, whereas in practice half of the receipes, while good in themselves are not bread.Still, a great book for beginner bread makers.

Loving this book
Have been glued to Bake With Jack on YouTube for the last month – he’s a great teacher. This book is clearly laid out with loads of good recipes as well as good instructions for making every kind of bread you could ask for – and I like the way the CAPITALS in the text mean that it READS the same way that he TALKS!

really good book
if you are new to baking you can’t go wrong with this book, Just baked the sandwich loaf the first one in the book and it came out great. Jack tells you what you need to know without filling half the book with boring page filling stuff, and there is loads of videos and tutorials on his website , I would recommend this book you will be baking bread in no time.

Great book.
I like this book because it is simple and explains the process of bread making easy to understand. I have learned a lot from Jack already and have made several breads from this book, all perfect.

I love you Jack’s teaching methods, both his videos and this book. He teaches principles you can build on and apply, which leads to understand how things can/should feel. It’s really hard to learn remotely, but his approach has helped me immensely over the past 4 years. And he does it all with a cheerful and down to earth demeanor. If you enjoy bread making and want to learn more, watch some of his videos and get this book. He writes just like he talks/teaches. Also, this book isn’t just about bread making. There’s great recipes/ideas for meal for the breads, like breakfast, burgers, soups, etc.Other info….. It came sooner than predicted (your mileage may vary….) Packed well, arrived without damage, and clearly a new book (not a return handed off as if new). Lots of pictures, nice thick pages (so no text bleed through from the previous page) with a decent size and color font. And the pages are not shiny, so no glare while reading. A well made cookbook that will last for quite some time.

I bought this as I wanted to get into bread at home. I have been a subscriber to Jack’s youtube channel for awhile and wanted to support him and have a hard copy reference. I mainly use the first yeasted bread recipe but really enjoy it. Have been using it for over a year, it’s about time I expanded my repertoire and make some buns…
