Here’s a collection of old advertisements from the late 1940’s up to the early 70s promoting Cadbury’s Bournville Cocoa . Some of these ads include recipes which I’ve enlarged for you to use. Back in the 50’s and 60’s, most people used Bournville cocoa for all their baking. I’ve put an Amazon affiliate link at the bottom of this post if you want to try out some of these old recipes. Amazon is probably the best place to go if you want to buy in bulk, otherwise most supermarkets will stock the brand. Obviously you could try other brands of cocoa but Cadbury’s Bournville is still a firm favourite with most bakers.
