CELEBRATE APPLE DAY, 21st OCTOBER, 2019

Monday 21st October is National Apple DayApple Day is a holiday which is celebrated on either October 21st or the weekend closest to October 30th each year and is a celebration of all things concerning apples and orchards.

Although usually celebrated in the U.K. people all over the world are beginning to catch on to this fun day.

The first Apple Day was held on October 21st, 1990 at an event in Covent Garden, London in the U.K. The initial event was quite small, but over the years, more and more people began to attend them until there were almost 700 events in the U.K by the year 2000.

Did you know that apple trees can take as long as 5 years to begin producing apples and the average apple tree can produce over 800 pounds of apples.
