With so much emphasis on home-made foodies and home décor, it doesn’t surprise me in the least that they think this festive season is set to be the great big ‘home-made’ Chrsitmas.
Lots of us are having a go at home-made chutney’s, jams, biscuits and making knitted tea cosies and home-sewn garments.
I must admit I have been very influenced by all things vintage this year (hence the blog) which has a lot of home-made products. I have already made my own Christmas cards and plan to try some fudge, chocolate and mint creams.
With an abundance of beautiful box’s and jars available to choose from in vintage, retro, modern, whatever your style you will find it somewhere.
And, with jam thermometer sales up by 62% at John Lewis, I wouldn’t be in the least bit surprised if I receive one from a friend.
I actually love it, especially making something this special for friends and families.
That would take me back many years….when all things ‘Homemade’ were the order of the day….:)xx
It’s nice though isn’t it Bushka, times are hard and they managed before so I am sure we can manage again. 🙂
Homemade is great; and something we should all try to get back to more because of its benefits to our health. We buy too much processed food which is full of sugars and salts.
Hear, hear hutt, I could not agree with you more 🙂
It is lovely to give and receive homemade things x
I thoroughly enjoyed making my cards yesterday but then suffered so much pain last night that it ruins it for me. However today I’ve forgotten the pain and will be at it again later as I love to give and receive just like you said. 🙂
Mine are on the list to make this week as soon as my back feels up to it. All that bending over will only make it worse 🙁
I do hope your back is a little easier today bda:)
