    Always inse raisins, dates and figs in very cold water before putting them through the food chopper, it will stop them from forming a gummy mass.

    Chilled evaporated milk, whipped until fluffy, can be used as the base for several frozen desserts by the addition of different flavours, lik fruits, nuts, instant coffee, cocoa,and other flavorings.

      I love the idea of the evaporated milk, I always seem to have a tin in the cupboard but rarely use it!
