You would have to use far more salt than is usual in bread for it to have a significant retardation effect on the yeast.
Really Tom, you like making bread then do you?
I used to make my own bread from scratch, twice a week. I use a machine now, but I do intend to going back to doing it manually again.
Why would you go back to making it yourself, surely its much quicker with the machine. I keep saying I will buy one, but I’m wondering if i would then end up making too much of it.
