Another place that we popped into for some food in Banbury was The Old Auctioneer Pub, http://www.theoldauctioneerbanbury.co.uk/ and like everywhere we went to in this quaint village, it didn’t disappoint.
You walk into a welcoming atmosphere and decor to help you relax in with modern furnishings to complement the traditional building features. They call it ‘a pub with pub values offered with style, charisma and personality’.
The menu is a mix of great pub classics and modern English dishes, with sharing slates for informal dining and a great range of main. I enjoyed a fishfinger butty on their homemade bread with a pot of french fries, absolutely delicious.
Lucky you!
I know hutt and we are off to the Lakes for a few days tomorrow, it’s a hard life we are leading at the moment, :))
