With so much being written about how tea is good for so many things, now they are saying that coffee also is good for you.
They say that, according to a Greek study, one cup of coffee a day could reduce your blood pressure. Researchers actually found that those who drank between one and two cups of coffee daily had the healthiest arteries.
Two cups a day (no more than two cups if you are pregnant) could keep Alzheimer’s at bay.
After studying more than 122,000 women, researchers found that three cups a day can reduce the risk of developing ovarian cancer. However, according to a US study in 2006, coffee drinkers who have more than three cups a day may increase their risk of a heart attack.
Coffee, like tea is packed with antioxidants which can potentially cut the risk of cancer however more than three cups a day could mean that you are twice as likely to develop rheumatoid arthritis.
Personally, I think I will stick to my occasional coffee and around 6 – 8 cups of tea a day.

I wonder if the Greek study was based on Greek coffee? They make a very strong coffee by boiling up coffee in a little saucepan and then drinking it in a tiny cup – a bit like espresso – but not really.
Coffee is also a strong oestrogenic substance. So for someone like me it is a huge no-no, except for when I cave-in to temptation once in a while. I stick to herbal teas and hot water with lemon juice most of the time.
Oh and a funny thing I heard on the radio the other day regarding statistics not always being quite as clear cut as they may seem:
Studies have shown that people have far less accidents when they are asleep. Sleeping people are the safest. So next time you are driving take a nap – statistics prove you will be safer than when you are awake! :))
:)):):)x
I’m like you especially in the evening when I would only drink a caffeine free one. 🙂
Think I’ll stick to my Coffee….:lalala: ;)xx
You go for it Bushka :)):) x
The maths of it all could be difficult.
:)) it is a bit complicated 🙂
