Pancake Day (another name for Shrove Tuesday) is Tuesday 8th March.
Pancake Day is the last day before Lent and so traditionally pancakes are eaten (to use up the eggs and fat which were often not eaten during the fasting period). A Great Pancake Race takes place on Pancake day each year in London on Tower Hill Terrace, in front of the church of All Hallows by the Tower. This is a great fun event and is mirrored in thousands of smaller pancake races around the globe.
Yummy…Watch the ‘fillings’;)xx

So it is miramaze – I will have to do a double reminder 🙂 I also loooooove pancakes, yum, yum 🙂 x
One of my favourite times, I adore pancakes, odd how we don’t have them much at any other time of the year though!
The Americans do but not us and yet we have loads of yorkshire puddings !!!!
It is probably just as well though, I’d be enormous if I started having pancakes regularly!
Lent already! Will be here very soon.
Time flies, don’t you think !!:)
Yes very much so.
Interesting post.
Thank you 🙂
